Med-E-Hive is a startup, supported by a strong university in South Africa, and we develop and commercialize digital health solutions. We combine the expertise of engineers, clinicians and health care professionals to sculpt novel, practical solutions to everyday challenges in health systems, both public and private. Our solutions have global application and we are in the process of arranging our suite of international collaborators and partners, and approaching strategic investors.
We don’t develop hardware unless we need to: we rather connect existing devices and platforms to the Internet of Things. We develop software, algorithms and systems. Not only do we know that healthcare is going digital internationally: we understand why and how to make it happen.
We are female driven – women developing solutions for women to use (because let’s face it: most of the end-users in healthcare are female). That makes us innovative by design, client-centric by nature, and never-say-no by experience.
Our aspirations are global. And we know we need strategic partners to attain that. If you would like to be an investor or enabling partner please get in touch and let's discuss.
IoT-based infantometer and MUAC screening for children up to the age of 10
Our system will actively increase patient care capacity while protecting scarce ICU staff, and allowing expertise to be shared, interpreted and monitored across vast geographic distances
We are developing a system that enables automated interpretation of PCR output data (and later also other equipment) at the point of care with remote verification services offered by skilled clinicians. This will impact testing turn-around times and allow for fewer bottlenecks due to logistical challenges in the testing process. The solution will be particularly applicable to pandemics like the current COVID-19
Therapists can remotely monitor patient compliance via a web-based surveillance
With the phased return to schools, universities and workplaces a mandatory daily screening and listing of all people entering the premises are mandatory. We developed a mobile app digital screening solution to assist in digitized records keeping, automated alarms if data outside limits, dashboard with results of data analysis.
